Mr. Hayes' practice primarily consists of defending product liability lawsuits and other types of complex litigation. His clients are many of the largest corporations in the world, including those in the oil, gas, chemical, steel and medical device industries. He handles cases involving alleged chemical exposure, defects in medical devices, and industrial accidents/explosions. He also advises smaller companies on a wide range of liability-avoidance and general contract issues. Mr. Hayes' real-world business experience combined with his jury and bench trial experience make him well suited to handle a variety of legal matters.

Mr. Hayes serves as Ohio counsel for a major medical device manufacturer, assisting them with product liability defense in state and federal courts, Multidistrict Litigation and the defense of litigation in other Midwestern states. He is also Ohio counsel for various industry-leading oil, gas, chemical and steel companies. In this capacity, he primarily defends cases involving alleged workplace exposure to benzene, vinyl chloride, asbestos and other chemicals/substances as well as other miscellaneous product liability matters. He also represents attorneys/law firms involved in legal malpractice and related cases and advises smaller companies on various legal matters and pursues litigation on their behalf as needed.
