Attorney Andrew T. Hayes ("Andy") has been practicing law with our firm since 2002, and was voted a partner in 2009. He serves businesses and individuals by helping them avoid litigation and, where it cannot be avoided, by achieving a favorable result through the court system or alternative dispute resolution.

Andy serves as Ohio counsel to a number of Fortune 500 corporations, and also protects the interests of small businesses and individuals. His clients do business in various industries, including manufacturers/distributors of chemicals, toys, medical devices, steel, textiles, automobiles, oil/gas, agricultural products, and furniture, as well as insurance companies, attorneys, property service providers, investors, TPAs and physicians.

Andy is experienced at handling complex litigation involving claims such as: strict products liability, personal injury, wrongful death, breach of contract, tortious interference, indemnification, employer intentional tort, fraud, breach of express or implied warranty, violation of employee non-competition/confidentiality agreements, conspiracy, concert of action, temporary restraining order/injunction, etc. He has assisted with matters pending throughout Ohio federal and state trial and appellate courts, as well as in: Georgia, West Virginia, South Carolina, Indiana, Kentucky, Virginia, Kansas and Pennsylvania.

He also represents and advises business clients on various Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issues. The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 and other recently enacted legislation and orders have resulted in the CPSC undertaking new functions, including launching a consumer product reporting web-site and enforcing third-party testing and product certification requirements. It is important for product manufactures, importers and wholesalers to keep informed on, and in compliance with, changing applicable statutes and regulations.
